A Gallery round was organized as an integral component of the Workshop on Climate Change and its Impact on the Al-Hawizeh Marshes (Challenges and Solutions), providing participants with an interactive and visual learning experience. The session showcased a collection of photographic documentation, thematic posters, maps, charts, and technical illustrations related to Al-Hawizeh/Aladhim Marsh.
The gallery materials highlighted key environmental changes, including water level fluctuations, vegetation dynamics, biodiversity indicators, and climate-related impacts observed in recent years. Special emphasis was placed on visual comparisons that demonstrated spatial and temporal transformations within the marsh ecosystem.
The Gallery Round enabled participants to:
• Review visual evidence of climate change impacts and environmental degradation that was resulted in from the CAMAAM work package groups
• Observe variations in hydrological conditions and ecosystem responses
• Discuss field observations, monitoring results, and research findings
• Exchange knowledge and perspectives in an informal, participatory setting
This session significantly enhanced participants’ understanding of the technical presentations and fostered constructive dialogue between researchers, practitioners, and decision-makers. The Gallery round contributed to strengthening evidence-based discussions and supported the formulation of practical and informed recommendations for sustainable marsh management.
